Masters, Thanksgiving Camp, Potluck!
Snow is gracing the peaks, the Aspen leaves are showing off, and your local Nordic Center is getting a little busier as we prepare to open our doors for the season on November 16th.
This shift in seasons means another Summer Grand Traverse is in the books. The 11th annual edition was yet another celebration of human-powered endurance, as participants ran and biked 40 miles across the Elk Mountains between Crested Butte and Aspen. This event would not be possible without the support of our community. This year, 75 volunteers helped pull off this massive feat. Thank you for making it a great success!
With the last of our summer events in the rearview mirror, we turn our attention completely to winter. Are you ready for another winter of beautiful trails and community fun? Season passes are on sale, youth program registrations are open, Master and Thanksgiving Camp registrations will open on Friday, the Annual Potluck is on the calendar, and registration for the Alley Loop begins on October 1st. It's CB Nordic season, and we can't wait to welcome you back!

Thanksgiving Camp
Registration Opens September 20th
It's back and better than ever! Join us Friday, November 29th - Sunday, December 1st. Jumpstart your nordic ski season with CB Nordic instructors and visiting coaches. We want to get you on your feet, test your balance, and help you glide with confidence. This year’s offerings include adult beginner sessions, adult technique clinics, U20 training camp, and para camp clinics. Test your new skills on Sunday with the Thanksgiving Camp Wild Turkey 5k - the first in the Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Race Series this season.

Masters Registration
Registration opens September 20th!
After you've skied off the dust at Thanksgiving Camp, join us for another full season of Masters programming. We offer personalized 3-week coaching sessions in small-group settings - 7 students maximum per instructor. Come improve your technique and fitness with stimulating drills, video analysis, fast skiing, fun, and camaraderie.
Based on feedback from the Masters end-of-season surveys and Masters instructors, it is time to freshen up a few offerings and preserve perennial favorites. This year, we’re switching up traditional leveled Masters groupings and using Movement Analysis to create skill-based cohorts. We’re opening up Power Hour to everyone, expanding Adult Biathlon, and keeping Performance Group going strong.

Alley Loop!
Register: October 1st | Race: February 1st
Another year, another Alley Loop - the 39th annual, to be exact! Registration opens on Tuesday, October 1st. Bring the whole family. There's a race (costume party or competitive) for everyone. Sign up early for the best pricing.
We're still working out the details, so please note that the posted schedule and start times are subject to change.
New this year - we're excited to host a Nordic Village at the Center for the Arts. This will not be your average bib pick-up... lots more details coming soon.

Annual Potluck
Thursday, October 3rd
Mark your calendars for the CB Nordic Annual Potluck. Please join us Thursday, October 3rd from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Nordic Center. No need to RSVP, just bring yourself and the family and your favorite dish to share. Take a tour of the Outpost, reconnect with your winter community, and do a snow dance with us!
