Lesson Offerings
Lessons will give you the skills and confidence to boldly venture out on your own and embrace the sport of cross-country skiing. All lessons are private and tailored to your goals and skill level.

Make a Move: Private lessons for all adults from never-ever to advancing racers. More joy, less frustration. Our team of PSIA-certified instructors will make it fun and easy. Whether you want to learn classic or skate, we will enhance your confidence and technique, allowing you to enjoy your time on the trails. Perfect for never-ever skiers and seasoned veterans alike.
All lessons are private and 75 minutes in length

Let our children’s specialist instructors get your kids moving on the trails. With a focus on fun, your kids from 5 to 16 years old will be ready to ski with skill and confidence. First-timers welcome!

Exciting and engaging half-day nordic experiences for youth. Local and visiting kids will enjoy ski touring through our forested trails, picnicking in the sunshine, and exploring new terrain. Skiers will focus on fun through learning safe and efficient nordic skiing! Winter adventure skills, shelter building, and mountain awareness will be presented in age-appropriate skill sessions.
All sessions are group sessions and 4 hours in length

Tour Offerings
Tours are the perfect way to experience our snowy backyard in a safe environment. Whether you’re looking to snowshoe or ski, all options are private and tailored to your goals, focusing on fun and adventure.

If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Our experienced and friendly guides will take you safely into the backcountry around Crested Butte for a unique winter adventure. With half and full-day options, the ultimate winter vacation experience awaits. After you book, your guide will work with you to customize your tour.
All tours are private – No experience necessary – rental gear included
Half-day tours are 2.5 hours in length. Start times are 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Cost: $150 for one person, $75 for each additional person
Full-day tours are 5 hours in length and start at 9 a.m. This tour is challenging but rewarding, and our guides will manage the pace and terrain to your ability. Calories will be burnt – bring plenty of snacks. Cost: $275 for one person, $137.50 for each additional person

Backcountry Nordic touring is the ultimate winter vacation experience. With half and full-day options and a variety of terrain available, our friendly and experienced guides will lead you on a unique adventure. After you book, your guide will work with you to customize your tour.
All tours are private – XC ski experience necessary, not for never-ever skiers (please take a ski lesson first) – rental gear included.
Half-day tours are 2.5 hours in length. Start times are 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Cost: $150 for one person, $75 for each additional person
Full-day tours are 5 hours—OR—7 ½ hours in length and start at 9 AM. These tours are challenging but rewarding, and our guides will manage the pace and terrain to your ability. Calories will be burnt—bring plenty of snacks. Cost: 5-hour tour —$275 for one person, $137.50 for each additional person; 7 ½ hour tour—$380 for one person, $190 for each additional person.

Lesson and Tour Details
We pride ourselves on being the best learn-to-ski school in the country and that our team will be prepared to give you the safest and most fun learning experience possible. Please note that ski tours are not lessons and are designed for people with some XC ski experience.
Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons and clinics have limited space, so be sure to reserve early.
If you find yourself wanting to add to your Nordic Experience we will take “day of” lesson requests 1.5 hours prior to sessions based on instructor availability. Blackout days – November 28-30, 2024; December 23, 2024-January 5, 2025; January 18-19, 2025; February 15-17, 2025; March 10-23, 2025. No lessons will be able to be scheduled for February 1, 2025.
You may request a specific instructor or guide for your session. If they are not available at the requested time, we will contact you with alternatives.
We will try to accommodate reservation changes when possible but cannot guarantee staff availability.
Participants must be at least 5 years of age.
Cancellation Policy: Lessons canceled 24 hours or more in advance will receive a full refund. Lessons canceled within 24 hours will not receive a refund.
