It's hard to imagine a more perfect autumn season than the one we're living in right now. Each adventure under the magnificent display of Aspen leaves and impeccable sunshine feels like a gift. After all, with each passing day and falling leaf, that first real snow is just around the corner.
The Nordic Center will open for the season on Saturday, November 16th. Come say hello, pick up your season pass (or get a new sticker), and shop our 2024-2025 winter retail collection. We look forward to welcoming you back.
New this season, the upstairs of the Nordic Center will be open to the public as a gathering space and warming house. Leave your shoes while you ski, visit with friends, and cozy up with coffee or tea after a day on the trails. With the completion of The Outpost, we're thrilled to return this space to its original intent as a place for you, the CB Nordic community.
See you on the snowy trails soon. In the meantime, do your snow dances.

Register for the Alley Loop!
Prices increase on November 1st
Registration for the 39th annual Alley Loop is open. All 21 km and 42 km races are American Birkie qualifiers. If you're looking for something shorter, join us for a 5 km or 10 km race, and put the kids in costume for a 1 km or 3 km loop around town.

New this year, we've switched registration platforms. Ski Sign Up has lower registration fees for participants and an easy-to-use interface. We're also offering reduced-cost "no frills" registration if you want to race without the swag.

Gothic Mountain Tour
Registration opens Friday, October 18th
Whether you're training for The Grand Traverse or just love a good local challenge, registration for the Gothic Mountain Tour opens this Friday, October 18th.
Join us on Saturday, February 22nd for either the 17-mile recreational race or the 23-mile competitive division. Both races feature epic terrain, a majestic circumnavigation of Gothic Mountain, and great finish line food and prizes.

It's back and better than ever! Join us Friday, November 29th - Sunday, December 1st. Jumpstart your nordic ski season with CB Nordic instructors and visiting coaches. We want to get you on your feet, test your balance, and help you glide with confidence. This year’s offerings include adult beginner sessions, adult technique clinics, U20 training camp, and para camp clinics. Test your new skills on Sunday with the Thanksgiving Camp Wild Turkey 5k - the first in the Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Race Series this season.

Get More Out of Winter
Register for Masters and the CBN Team
Youth programs are filling up fast. Register your athlete for a winter full of nordic skiing, fun, and camaraderie. We have programs for athletes in kindergarten through high school, including recreational and competitive nordic skiing, biathlon, and backcountry awareness.
Don't forget, we're offering U20 Thanksgiving Camp this year. Athletes age 8 and up are welcome.
Masters programming starts December 3rd, right after Thanksgiving Camp. Want to improve your technique? Join a classic or skate group. Preparing for a race? Join the performance group. Looking for something different and unique? Sign up for biathlon. There's an option for every desire and schedule!

Annual Ski Swap!
November 8th and 9th
Support access to snowsports activities for local youth at the annual ski swap hosted by Crested Butte Snow Sports Foundation. Don't miss out on great deals on gear sales from CB Nordic.
Shop for gear Friday, November 8th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the members-only kick-off, or join on Saturday, November 9th at the public swap from 9 a.m. - noon at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square in Mt.
