July 11, 2026

A split-screen image showcasing outdoor adventure activities in a mountainous landscape. The left side has two people trail running through a green, forested area with mountains in the background. The right side shows two people mountain biking on a dirt trail among trees, with mountains under a blue sky with scattered clouds. In the center, there is a colorful bear-shaped graphic with mountains and trees inside, and the text "GRIN AND BEAR IT."

The Grin & Bear It is Crested Butte’s oldest trail challenge. Historically presented as a sprint to Green Lake and back, this classic event has evolved to offer a 25k Loop competition while still maintaining the traditional 15k race.

Coming back for year two, we’re offering a 25k mountain bike race. The bike is technical and difficult - a great training opportunity for the Summer Grand Traverse.
