Shifting gears!

It’s quiet season at CB Nordic. As the dust settles on another busy year, we’re grateful for this time to pause and collect our thoughts.

Between inventory and ordering for next year, putting away the winter supplies and planning for summer events, closing one fiscal year and budgeting for the next, we find ourselves reminiscing about a season well spent. We’re all left with a plethora of great memories that will last us until the snow flies again.

Volunteer Appreciation Party

Save the Date - June 19th!

This community and our amazing volunteers are the backbone of CB Nordic. Without your help and support, we could not maintain 55km of winter trails, put on unique events like the Alley Loop, or get hundreds of local kids out on skis.

Please join us on Thursday, June 19th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Party. We’ll gather at the Nordic Center for food, drinks, and raffle prizes.

Thank you for another year of sharing your time and expertise. We are so grateful.

Grin & Bear It Registration

Plus a new mountain bike race!

The nordic trails are closed. Hartman Rocks is open. It's officially dirt season! That means it's time to register for the Grin & Bear It. Join us on Saturday, July 12th for the 25k loop or the traditional 15k out-and-back to Green Lake.

New this year, we’re hosting a mountain bike race. The race will follow the same loop as the 25k run. Registration will open on May 1st and be capped at 75 riders.

Met Rec Election

Vote on May 6th!

Two Met Rec Board Board of Director seats are open for the upcoming four-year term. A regular election will be held on May 6, 2025 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the following CB and Gunnison locations:

• Queen of All Saints Catholic Church
  401 Sopris Avenue, Crested Butte

• Fred Field Western Heritage Center
  275 Spruce Street, Gunnison

Met Rec support has been critical to CB Nordic over the last few years. We are so grateful for the community support of winter recreation.

Summer Training Options

Something for the whole family!

We’ve got summer dryland options for the whole family. Stay tuned for more details and registration information coming early this summer.

• Nordic Youth Camp - mid to late summer

• Nordic Adult Dryland - August through October

CBNT Comp will have regular dryland practices this summer. Watch for the team on our local trails!

If you’re looking to adventure with the family, we’re renting our Burley this summer for $25/day. Take the kids on the trails! Email Amanda below for more information.
