2021 Event Outlook

Planning for the 2021 Alley Loop is underway!  We are preparing health risk mitigation plans to obtain Gunnison County approval for the event to proceed.  The ultimate fate of this season’s Alley Loop is of course conditioned upon what community health risks are present in the days prior to race weekend.  Event planning therefore moves forward, however opening of race registration will occur no sooner then the 1st of January.   Check back here for race updates, or sign up for CB Nordic Newsletter.  You may also monitor past and present rates of COVID 19 infection in Gunnison County by accessing the Community Monitoring Data Studio.

Wax Recommendations

We depend on close to 100 volunteers to pull together this very
atypical nordic ski race…

To ensure Alley Loop success, we’re seeking Course Marshals, Registration Receptionist, Start & Finish Line Assistants, Pub Ski Operatives, and many other support roles.

Every volunteer receives a commemorative 2020 Alley Loop Soft Flask, in addition  a beer voucher from Ska Brewing at the finish expo!
