Make a Move: Private lessons for all adults from never ever to advancing racers. More joy, less frustration. Our team of PSIA-certified instructors will make it fun and easy. Whether you want to learn classic or skate, we will enhance your confidence and technique, allowing you to enjoy your time on the trails. Perfect for never-ever skiers and seasoned veterans alike.

• All lessons are private and 75 minutes in length

• Trail pass and rental gear is included
• $145 for one person, $75 for each additional person
• Adult lessons are offered daily at 9, 10:30, 12, and 1:30

Learning to ski is fun for the whole family and the perfect vacation activity! Any combination of adults and kids, ages 5 and up are welcome. 

• All lessons are private and 75 minutes in length

• Family lessons are offered daily at 9, 10:30, 12, and 1:30
• Family Lessons should be reserved at least 24 hours in advance

Let our children’s specialist instructors get your kids moving on the trails. With a focus on fun, your 5-16 year olds will be ready to ski with skill and confidence. First-timers welcome!

•  Youth lessons are offered daily at 9, 10:30, 12, and 1:30
• Youth Lessons must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance

Exciting and engaging half-day nordic experiences for youth. Local and visiting kids will enjoy ski touring through our forested trails, picnicking in the sunshine, and exploring new terrain. Skiers will focus on fun through learning safe and efficient nordic skiing! Winter adventure skills, shelter building, and mountain awareness will be presented in age-appropriate skill sessions.

• All sessions are group sessions and 4 hours in length
• Classic and Skate sessions offered
• Trail pass and rental gear is included
• $105 per youth
• Each session requires at least 3 participants to be “a go”

If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Our experienced and friendly guides will take you safely into the backcountry around Crested Butte for a unique winter adventure. With half and full-day options, the ultimate winter vacation experience awaits. After you book, your guide will work with you to customize your tour.  

• All tours are private – No experience necessary – rental gear included
• Half-day tours are 2.5 hours in length. Start times are 9 & Noon. Cost: $150 for one person, $75 for each additional person
• Full-day tours are 5 hours in length and start at 9 AM. This tour is challenging but rewarding and our guides will manage the pace and terrain to your ability. Calories will be burnt – bring plenty of snacks. Cost: $275 for one person, $137.50 for each additional person
• Tours must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

Backcountry Nordic touring is the ultimate winter vacation experience. With half and full-day options and a variety of terrain available, our friendly and experienced guides will lead you on a unique adventure. After you book, your guide will work with you to customize your tour.  

• All tours are private – XC ski experience necessary, not for never-ever skiers (please take a ski lesson first) – rental gear included
• Half-day tours are 2.5 hours in length. Start times are 9 & Noon. Cost: $150 for one person, $75 for each additional person
• Full-day tours are 5 hours – OR – 7 ½ hours in length and start at 9 AM. These tours are challenging but rewarding, and our guides will manage the pace and terrain to your ability. Calories will be burnt – bring plenty of snacks. Cost: 5 hour – $275 for one person, $137.50 for each additional person; 7 ½ hour tour – $380 for one person, $190 for each additional person.
• Tours must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

So we can provide you with an optimal experience or adventure it is best to book your lessons and tours ahead of time. All lessons and tours are private.

We pride ourselves on being the best learn-to-ski school in the country and that our team will be prepared to give you the safest and most fun learning experience possible. Please note that ski tours are not lessons and are designed for people with some XC ski experience.

Lessons & clinics have limited space, so be sure to reserve early.

Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

If you find yourself wanting to add to your Nordic Experience we will take “Day of” Lesson requests 1 1/2 hours prior to sessions based on instructor availability. Black out days – November 23-26, 2023; December 23, 2023-January 6, 2024; January 14-15, 2024; February 17-19, 2024; March 2-24, 2023. No lessons will be able to be scheduled for February 3, 2024.

You may request a specific instructor/guide for your session. If they are not available at the requested time we will contact you with alternatives.

We will try to accommodate reservation changes when possible but cannot guarantee staff availability.

We do request a 24-hour notice for any cancellations.

Participants must be at least 5 years of age.
