Trail Report: Sunday, 11/29/15

At 8 am this morning, it is 15 degrees with mostly sunny skies – the prediction is for snow showers, but it looks like those are staying in the mountains, as we did not get any new coverage.  There is a slight chance for up to an inch of snow during the day.  The forecasted high is around 30 degrees.

We are grooming Ruthie’s Run on the bench (a 5 km loop right from the nordic center) this morning and Lily Lake, a 10 km loop, is still open for skiing – it is a 6.5 mile drive up Kebler Pass Road.  It hasn’t been groomed recently, but should still be firm under several inches of new snow.

Today is the first race in the Alley Loop Race Series.  The kid’s race is at 9:30 am and is either 1 or 3 km, and the adult race is at 10 am and is either 5 or 10 km.  Walk-in registration is open until 9 am in the nordic center and the race begins and ends up on the bench, 1/2 km up the hill from the nordic center.

Come out and race or cheer your fellow skiers on!  Enjoy the glorious day.  If you have any questions, call us at (970) 349-1707, or go to
