Excitement mounts as the mountains spill light into the valleys this morning, and the last clouds and fog push off to the north. Our 7:30 am temperature of 2 degrees will warm to nearly 20 today with mostly sunny skies.
We have groomed the entire trail system. Ruthie’s will be double tracked starting at 10 am today in preparation for a college race Sunday, so skating there will be less than optimal.
Tomorrow is the signature event of the season here, the 30th Anniversary Alley Loop Race! You can still drop off skis for our SKIGo wax service up until noon today, and then they can be picked up from 7 am on tomorrow. You can still volunteer, too, call (970) 349-1707. Bib pick up and walk in registration will be at Queen of all Saints Parish Hall on Sopris from 3 – 7 pm this afternoon and from 8 am – 10 am on Saturday. Evening fun town/pub ski starts at 5 pm – check out details in the newspaper or right here.
Good luck! Carbo load!
