Welcome to Hoth! An inch of tree-coating snow adorns our world here at 7:30 am along with a temperature of 7 degrees, and a projected balmy high of 32! – twice as high as yesterdays. We are forecasted to have partly sunny skies, but first are getting some last snow showers with the skulking clouds – bit like retreating storm troopers.
We have groomed Pooch’s Paradise from Butte Avenue north, along with most of the Magic Meadows Loops, all the way up Mike’s Mile and around the GB Loop. Also groomed is Ruthie’s Run, located right here at the nordic center and up on to the bench. The connector between Ruthie’s and Town Ranch Loop, Town Ranch Loop and the connector to Riverbend were all groomed yesterday at noon. Some wonderful new pieces to ski!
The Junior Olympic Qualifying races will be held on Ruthie’s Run on the Bench tomorrow and Sunday until 1 pm. We encourage cheering, but if you want to get in a good ski, we recommend you ski elsewhere during those days. The Ski Mountaineering Academy is taking place at various venues around town starting today and going through Sunday.
