Get More Out of the Backcountry
Explore the spectacular terrain around Crested Butte with the security of an experienced guide. Backcountry tours are offered on cross-country (classic) skis or snowshoes. Whether you’re new to CB, new to snowshoeing or cross country skiing, or new to winter entirely, a guided tour is a terrific way to enjoy a half or full day winter adventure. All tours are led by our safe, friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced guides. Tours safely explore the backcountry that surrounds Crested Butte: the valleys of the Slate River, Washington Gulch, Brush Creek, and the historic mining town of Gothic, as well as other pristine destinations.
