Our Thanksgiving Camp offers clinics in intimate group settings, with personalized coaching that caters to all ability levels. We often have snow at our Nordic Center in town, but if not, we host the camp on our groomed nordic trails just 10 minutes out of town (and 1500 feet higher) at the Lily Lake Trails. Our highly qualified instructors host fun, informative clinics for everyone, from kids to never-ever adults to committed racers. Join us for the Round-Robin Refresher Thursday morning, then for our half- or full-day clinics on Friday and Saturday. The Thanksgiving Camp also features Wine & Waxing, a Winter Kick-Off Party, and a Citizens’ Race on Sunday.

The Alley Loop is not your typical American Birkebeiner Qualifier. The course winds its way through snow-laden streets, alleyways and narrow bridges in the hart of downtown Crested Butte. At any given time you may be cheered-on by town revelers, find yourself surrounded by Oompa Loompas, or navigating a crazy costume train assemblage… Racers are sometimes forced into making daring passes and depending on their luck, may even get waylaid on a bridge for a brief moment. Once you make it through town, you are rewarded by pristine tracks and epic views on the surrounding Crested Butte Nordic trail network. If you like normal, you may want to look for another race. If you are up for anything, this is right up your alley!
