2022 Drunken Master Solo Challenge Results

Crested Butte Nordic Center and Eddyline Brewery are proud to announce the first-ever Beer Ski World Championships! On Saturday, March 26th at the Magic Meadows yurt, individuals and relay teams will chug beers then ski a 1/2 mile loop for this inaugural historic event.

Two race options, the Tallboy Team Relay, and the Drunken Master Challenge.

Tallboy Team Relay: Teams of 4 will have 1 teammate chug a 16 oz Eddyline beer then ski 1/2 mile, switch the race bib to the next teammate who chugs their beer, and ski, repeating until all 4 teammates have finished.

Drunken Master Challenge: The Drunken Master challenge is the ultimate test of physical and gastronomical fortitude. Solo racers will chug 12oz of beer then ski 1/2 mile, repeating this four times with the fastest being crowned the Drunken Master.

We will be serving hot dogs  and other snacks at the yurt, with beer available for purchase. Competitors will receive a drink ticket for a free post-race beer.

Race entry fees are $20 for Drunken Masters Challenge, $50 for Tallboy Relay.  Costumes are strongly encouraged!

Beer Ski Participants MUST organize safe transportation home.
