GROOMER'S NOTE

Happy new year, everyone!

Our apologies the yurt bistro is cancelled for the day. Look for the first bistro January 9th!

The weather gods have blessed us this last 9 days and we’ve had close to 100″ of snow. We are so grateful to have all this snow for skiing and water for replenishing our rivers. However, the snow has brought a few hurdles, too.

Avalanche danger currently remains a concern, so we are keeping some of our trails closed to keep us all safe.

Additionally, the storms have wreaked some havoc on our machinery and our staff. The groomers have been working day and night to keep the trails groomed and opened, but between high winds and incessant snow fall, the snow cats have met their match. We have a few mechanical issues we need to get sorted out today that are going to impact trail conditions.

Ruthie’s East, Pooch’s Paradise, Kapushion, and Magic Meadows were all groomed last night.

The West Side has been snowmobile groomed for skating from the Gronk to the Yurt via the Beaver Trail. Please use this groomed trail when skiing the West Side as other trails pass under avalanche paths.

Please wait to ski the East Side until we’ve been able to get the groomers out there. It can be easy to get turned around in conditions like this.

We highly recommend skiing on Ruthie’s Run on the Bench–this was groomed last night, is more sheltered from wind, and in better shape for today’s adventures.

Please be patient with us as we try to keep everyone safe, repair our equipment, and keep things rolling around here.
