Let It Begin

Snow Snow Snow!

It snooooowed! And what good timing. We kick off this week with our Virtual Annual Meeting & Potluck TONIGHT on Monday, November 16 and Opening Day on Sunday! Stay tuned to the Trail Report for updates on Trail Conditions. No skiing in town quite yet but we’re getting closer!

At the Virtual Annual Meeting & Potluck we’ll go over updates to our procedures since many of our operations have moved online. Be prepared: we are not opening the doors of the Nordic Center to the public this winter. Everything must be purchased and reserved online, and then can be picked up outside the Nordic Center at our pick-up windows. We’ll show you how this will work tonight! Read more about our COVID-19 protocols.

One way we’re helping you prepare for the season is by selling Fischer ski packages for the first time. We’re anticipating high demand for our rental skis, and we want you to be able to hit the trails as often as you want. Getting your own gear will set you up for a more successful winter.

Opening Day means we’ll start keeping our regular hours, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., 7 days a week. You can come by and pick up your pass, pick up items you buy online, drop skis off for tuning, etc.

It also means that registration for our programs is in full swing! Read on below for Masters Community Registration and Thanksgiving Camp Info.

Virtual Annual Meeting

Monday, 11/16, 6 p.m.

Join us for our Virtual Annual Meeting & Potluck. We’re using a platform called Remo. Remo is like Zoom, in that you “call in” to the event with an internet link (linked below). However, rather than all being on one big screen together, Remo has “tables” where you can join small groups for real conversation. Just like at the regular Potluck, you can move from group to group and catch up with friends, old and new.

You’re welcome to familiarize yourself with the tool before tomorrow’s event. This short video provides a great how-to, which helps guide you through making your profile, joining a table, and other best practices.

We highly recommend you call in to the event with a computer. (Smart phones and tablets do not work well.) Make sure you have an up-to-date version of Chrome.

We’ll have presentations by CB Nordic Staff & Board to give you updates on how things will run at CB Nordic this year. Click here for the full Agenda.

Season Pass Pick-Up

Check Your PO Box

If you submitted a photo with your season pass purchase online, then your pass was mailed to you last week. Check your PO Box before coming to the Nordic Center to pick up your pass. If you either a) didn’t submit a photo or b) bought you pass since last Monday (11/2) then your pass will be available for pick-up at the Nordic Center starting on Saturday, 11/14. We will have you come to the pick-up window and get your picture taken outside. Thanks for helping us reduce gathering and keep a safe distance from each other!

Masters Registration

is open!

Masters Community Registration is now open! You don’t have to be a master skier to be a Master, you’re just an adult who is excited to learn to nordic ski better! We offer Masters programs for beginners through experts. Clinics are filling up quickly and space is limited, so be sure you register soon.

Thanksgiving Camp

Registration is now open!

While the Thanksgiving Camp is looking a bit different this year, we’re still so excited we get to ski with you. The smaller groups will allow for more personalized instruction and distance, so you can feel safe and get the most out of your clinics. We’ve also implemented a reservation system so we won’t charge your card until we know, snow willing, that camp is for sure happening, so you can feel good about registering early. Registration closes November 21.

Colorado Gives Day

December 8

CB Nordic is participating in Colorado Gives Day for the very first time this year! When you give your end of year gift through Colorado Gives Day, your gift goes farther. The Colorado Gives Day incentive fund contributes a percentage to CB Nordic, based on how many gifts we receive. Help ensure our trails are here this season and for many winters to come by making a gift online on December 8 or scheduling your gift now!

Fischer Ski Packages

On Sale Now

For the first time, we are able to be your retail source for Fischer Skis. This is particularly important this year, as we’re anticipating a boom in nordic skiing, just like we saw a boom in outdoor recreation this summer. This could put a strain on our rental fleet. The best way to ski your heart out is to have your own equipment. We have put together recommended ski packages for you, and we’re offering 20% off. If you’d like to take advantage of this deal, orders must be placed by November 15.

Volunteers Needed

for Junior Team

The CB Nordic Junior Team is more popular than ever, and we need your help. This year we’re sticking to smaller groups, which means more coaches. Can you volunteer on Monday, Thursday, or Friday? It’s good for the soul, good for the body, and good fun! Email [email protected] to learn more.
