Set Yourself up for Success

Season Passes On Sale Now

Momentum is picking up around Crested Butte Nordic with our winter programs opening for registration one by one. Read on for what’s open now and what’s coming soon.

The biggest news we have is that Christie Hicks, our Executive Director, had a baby! Brooks Huckstep was born on August 28 and is doing well at home with his mom and dad, Aaron “Huck” Huckstep. We wish Christie and her family a hearty congratulations!

Many of you participated in the madness that was the opening hour of Junior Programs Registration. Several programs sold out in the first 10 minutes! Ay ya ya! If you were not able to get your child registered for the Junior Team, please email Head Coach Molly Susla to learn more about getting your child on the waiting list.

However you participate with us, it’s time to take a look at the calendar and start making plans for what you want your season to look like. We’re excited to spend another winter on snow with you!

GT Success!

Thank you to our volunteers!
If you’ve been involved with the Grand Traverse races, you know that they are a monumental effort not just for the racers, but for the staff and volunteers, as well. It takes several dozen volunteers helping out at start lines, finish lines, high mountain passes, and everything in between to make these epic experiences possible. This year, we saw 370 runners and bikers make the trek between Mt. Crested Butte and Aspen. Participants represented 30 states, with everyone from Olympians to folks who’ve never done an organized race in their lives. Thank you for helping us pull off another successful summer GT!

Start your Season Right

The best way to start ski season is by skiing! Join our 2021 on-snow Thanksgiving Camp to get time on your skis with personalized coaching by our expert instructors. We have half-day clinics for beginner skiers and full-day clinics for intermediate to advanced skiers. For full-days, mornings will focus on skill improvement while afternoons will offer more time for skiing, video analysis, and 1-on-1 coaching.

Masters Community

Ski Better, Ski More!

You don’t have to have mastered skiing to be part of our Masters Community. In fact, we have Masters Classes for never-ever skiers, intermediate skiers, and advanced skiers alike. The Masters Community is all about getting out on your skis more, learning to ski better, and making ski-friends. It’s a great way to fix any bad habits or take your skiing to the next level. This year, we are offering a new “Intro to Racing” clinic. Learn about all of our offerings and get ready for registration in October.

Volunteer Openings

Get more involved with our community

Numerous studies have shown that one of the keys to happiness is giving to others. Volunteering helps CB Nordic by ensuring we can run our winter programs for kids and adults, but it also helps you! It’s a great way to get outside, form meaningful connections, and feel like you’re part of something bigger. We’re looking for a variety of volunteers, but we have a specific need for help with our kids programs. To help with kids’ programs, email Head Coach Molly Susla. For all other roles, email Programs Director Brittany Perkins. Thanks for giving back to CB Nordic!
