Gearing Up for Winter

Passes & Programs Go on Sale Soon

When the fireweed starts blooming you know fall is just around the corner, and with fall we have the exciting prospect of snow! It may seem crazy to be talking about snow when it’s still so warm out, but trust us–September will be here in the blink of an eye, and skiing is not far after that.

So, it’s time to start marking down some dates in your calendar!

  • Season passes – On Sale Sept. 1; prices go up Nov. 1
  • Junior Team – Registration Opens Sept. 13 (space is limited)
  • Thanksgiving Camp – Registration Opens Sept. 15
  • Masters Community – Registration Opens Nov. 1

In addition to these program openings, we also have Job Openings and Volunteer Opportunities. Join our fun team by working with us, or by helping to make our events happen!

Volunteers Needed

Two towns, two races, one epic mountain range . . . you can experience all the magic of the Grand Traverse Mountain Run & Bike without all of the suffer-fest by volunteering. We have positions open at aid stations, registration, start lines, finish lines, and more. CB Nordic is hiring!

Want to work with one of the most fun teams in town? Join our winter staff! We have a variety of positions open: Front Desk staff (day and night shifts), Ski School Instructors and Tour Guides, and CB Nordic Team Coaches. Full- and part-time positions are available. Benefits include CB Nordic season pass, free rentals, in-store discounts, free clinics, positive team atmosphere, opportunity to develop and progress in a variety of skills, and many office dogs for cuddling.

Yurt Dinners on Sale Now

Dinners at the Magic Meadows Yurt are truly a magical experience. You’ll ski or snowshoe out to the yurt surrounded by majestic, snow-covered peaks. Nestled among the pines, the yurt welcomes you in with a roaring fire and smiling staff. You’ll enjoy gourmet dishes prepared by chef Tim Egelhoff and a selection of fine beverages. At the end of the evening, you’ll make your way back to the trailhead beneath a spectacular sky of stars, and maybe even a full moon. Ready to take part in this memorable experience?

A season pass is your ticket to a season of unlimited skiing and snowshoeing, unlimited laughter, unlimited learning, and unlimited views. You also get free season passes (with free rentals!) for children in your household with your purchase of an Adult Season Pass, and five free adult rentals so you can try out some new equipment!

Junior Team Registration

Opens Sept. 13 for All Programs

The CB Nordic Junior Team Programs are the only after-school outdoor activity in winter for kids. They have programs for ages 3 to 18, with multiple programs for late elementary through high school so that whatever your child’s interest, they can find the right fit. These programs will fill up, so check out the Program Guide and be ready to register your child on September 13.

Thanksgiving Camp

Registration Opens September 15

Start your season right! Join us for 3 days of on-snow training in Crested Butte. Our Thanksgiving Ski Camp offers intimate group clinics with personalized coaching that caters to all ability levels. Join us for the Round-Robin Refresher on Thursday morning, followed up by half & full-day clinics on Friday & Saturday for skiers from beginners to expert. The camp is capped off with a lively Citizen’s Race (5k/10k Skate) Sunday morning.
