A Bridge to Nowhere

Help us take the bridges out.

It’s close to the saddest time of year for us, but everything has its season. With all this warm weather, it’s the season for the nordic trails to close. In order to get everything buttoned up, we need to remove the temporary bridges that make the trails possible. Can you help us take out the bridges?

We’re hosting the following Bridge Volunteer Days:

  • Sunday – April 10
  • Monday – April 11
  • Friday – April 15
  • Sat – April 16

Please sign up here.

We’ll meet at CB Nordic Center in the morning. Then, under the direction of our grooming staff, we’ll form up teams to deploy out to various river crossings.

  • Dress for variable spring conditions! We will be wading in rivers.
  • Bring – water, work gloves & high water boots (waders) are encouraged. (We do have some high water boots in various sizes for loan)
  • Beer & Pizza on us in the afternoon!

Questions? Email Kevin Krill, kevin@cbnordic.org.

Grand Traverse Success!

Last weekend we successfully held the 24th edition of the Grand Traverse ski race to Aspen! A lot happens out there on course. To hear about a few racers’ experience, check out these awesome write-ups or the videos over on our GT Instagram feed.

Whether you helped with the 2021 Summer GT, the 2021 Grin & Bear It, the Junior Programs, Trail Hosting, or even this week’s GT–you’re invited! RSVP (whether or not you can make it) so we can get an accurate count of how many hours you volunteered. Thank you for all your help in making this season a success!
