Spring is in the Air...
And the Skiing is Fantastic!
The birds are out, the sun is climbing higher in the sky, and our streets are going through slush/freeze cycle. Perhaps you’ve even started planning your end of the season get away… But don’t future trip too far away just yet! We’ve still got plenty of fun times on snow to enjoy before it all flows downstream until next fall.
Coming up, we have a whole host of activities to keep you enjoying the delights of our snow season. This Friday, we have a Learn to Ski FREE lesson. This weekend we have our last Pinnacles Orthopaedics Race on the Town Ranch Trails on Saturday and one more rustic-chic Bistro out at the Yurt on Sunday. On March 22 and 29 we will be hosting a couple demo days for folks to try out nordic skiing for free. Did we mention this event is FREE?! And to cap it all off, we have the 24th Grand Traverse Ski on April 2-3. As always, we will need a village of volunteers for this grand event.
So get out your warmer temp wax and get into the swing of spring with us!

Grand Traverse
Call for Volunteers
You may have heard that we’ve got a ski race to Aspen shaping up! The 24th Grand Traverse Ski is coming up on April 2-3, and with that comes our call for volunteers followed by a volunteer appreciation party hosted by Bonez on Saturday, April 9. We are so grateful for our volunteers, you make our little world go round and our events would not be possible without your dedication and support. If you’re feeling inspired to be a part of this amazing race, we need folks to help out with athlete check in, bib pick up, beacon check, shuttle drivers and more.
Free Gear Demo
For the Love of Nordic…
We will be hosting two free Demo Days from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 22 and 29 of March. We will be lending out gear over at the Town Ranch trailhead for folks to try out the fantastic sport of nordic without spending a dime. No need to register ahead, just stop by and go for a ski. Please be ready to leave a driver’s license or credit card with a trusted CB Nordic staff member as a guarantee of return on rentals while you’re out exploring some sliding on snow. Hope to see you there!

Beerski World Championships
And Community Celebration
Crested Butte Nordic and Eddyline Brewery are excited to announce the first-ever Beer Ski World Championships! On Saturday, March 26 at the Magic Meadows yurt, individuals and relay teams will chug beers and then ski a 1/2 mile loop for this inaugural historic event.
There will be two race options, the Tallboy Team Relay and the Drunken Master Challenge. Kids will have an opportunity to race a donut relay on a shorter distanced course. And if you’re not into racing, just come celebrate an amazing season with us at the Yurt!
