Dear CB Nordic Community,
July 1 marks a turning point for CB Nordic each summer. The “lazy” days of May and June are over for us, and we begin a steady acceleration to opening day on November 12 (snow willing). It’s also the end of one fiscal year and the start of a new one. This year, this transition is especially noticeable, for it’s when I took the helm full-time.
Last season was marked by a number of transitions at CB Nordic. We transitioned out of COVID. We made huge strides towards our future by launching The Outpost Capital Campaign. And we saw a number of long-time staff members move on. This Annual Report tells the story of these transitions. It highlights long-time CB Nordic members, like Tim, Alison, and Oliver White. It features new CB Nordic staff. Christie sends her last letter to you, and I let the team ask me all manner of ridiculous questions. I hope you’ll take a look at it to get a sense of where we’ve come from and where we’re going. You can read the Annual Report here.I’m grateful to have been part of CB Nordic the last few years as a season passholder, as an Alley Loop participant, and as a partner in my role at Met Rec. This involvement has allowed me to see CB Nordic’s impact on our community first-hand. Now, as Executive Director, I’m getting an inside look at how it all happens. Needless to say, it’s a phenomenal organization. Thank you for all you’ve done to make it so.
Now, time to get serious about making next season happen!
Hedda
