23rd Annual Alley Loop
Nordic Marathon
An American Birkebeiner qualifying race and Crested Butte's largest costume party, the Alley Loop features a unique course that starts and ends on a packed and groomed Elk Avenue! The course meanders through snow-lined alleys, behind false-fronted stores and restaurants, over footbridges and alongside residences before heading out to the pristine outskirts of Crested Butte. Great prizes and loads of fun for all ages and abilities!
When: January 31st, 2009
Time: 1.5km and 3km start at 9:30am
42K, 21km, 10km, 5km, interval starts begin at 10:00 am.
Cost: Varies with event.

Bring your used Nordic and Telemark equipment for consignment and shop among hundreds of great new and used bargains! Snowshoes, clothing, and accessories on sale too! Proceeds to benefit the Crested Butte Nordic Council.

Swap Time: Saturday, 9am-2pm

Note: After 5pm Monday, all remaining items will be donated to charity.

Progressive Bonfire Dinner
A unique dining experience! Ski or snowshoe from course to course along the town ranch with a warm bonfire and gourmet food. Proceeds to benefit CB Junior Nordic Team.

The Crested Butte Nordic Center's Citizens' Races are an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience a timed racing event in a relaxed atmosphere.
When:
- 12/06: 10k Classic Race
- 12/13: 10k Skate Race
- 12/20: 15k Skiathalon
- 01/10: 20k Classic
- 01/17: 20k Skate & Awards
Time: Children’s races start at 9:50 AM. Adult races start at 10:00 AM. All racers must register at the CBNC before 9:30 AM.
Cost: Race cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children under 17

Join us for a ski or snowshoe tour under the full moon each month. Experience the beauty of Crested Butte’s surrounding valleys. Tour includes hot beverages and delectable treats at our Magic Meadows warming yurt.
